Airtel 3G Tariff announced now affordable 3G technology for Airtel customers

Airtel 3G Tariff announced by Bharti Airtel India and the 3G services will be affordable for its users. The services will commercially start in 13 circles, before the end of this year. Airtel also changed their logo and Airtel has a new logo.

The Chairman and managing director of Bharti Airtel at a press conference said,

“We will price our 3G services in a way so as to balance it to the investments that we have made in acquiring the spectrum and building infrastructure. Tariffs will be affordable.”

He also added that the prices of the auctions were high, yet they will be able to give affordable tariffs. Earlier in August, the Chief Executive officer for the South Asia regions of Bharti Airtel, Mr Sanjay Kapoor said that the 3G costs may be higher due to the expensive bids.

“The bid prices have taken away the possibility of providing these services at cheap prices. Data services on 3G will also not come at throwaway prices,” he had said.

Apart from operating in 19 countries, Airtel provides 3G in eight countries in Africa. The spectrum charges are much higher in Africa. Airtel already offers 3G in 8 countries of Africa out of 16, and the rest of the 8 will have the 3G service soon.
